Due to a change in circumstances, the PenDem Meet the Candidates event will shift to an interactive campaign work session with Mel. We have decided not to have the other elected officials and candidates come out to our gathering this coming Wednesday, 9/22.
We will use this opportunity to do some hands-on activities in support of Mel’s campaign, have informal conversations with her, AND we'll help our community.
We will . . .
- write postcards to registered Dems in LD 9 who typically come out only in presidential years to encourage them to get out this year for Mel.
- make phone calls to residents who have allowed lawn signs on their property in the past to see if they’ll host one of Mel’s signs.
- bring one or more items to donate to the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf. They are currently in need of jelly, applesauce, canned tuna, tissues, and dish soap. But anything non-perishable within its sell-by date is most welcome.
There will be snacks and drinks, the chance to talk about larger issues, AND . . . a prize for whoever writes the most postcards and whoever makes the most phone calls!
We ask that only fully vaccinated individuals attend, and that everyone wear a mask.
Please let us know if you’d like to join us by emailing: [email protected]
Same time & location: 7:00-8:30pm Wed. 9/22 at Dolomite Lodge in Veterans Memorial Park, Penfield
During the pandemic our meetings are held via Zoom on the 2nd Tuesday of every month.
If you'd like to join our next meeting, please fill out this very brief contact form and one of the friendly people on our executive committee will be in touch with you. |

VolunteerWe have a slate of great local candidates running for office this year and we need your help to get them elected. There are many ways you make a difference and there's sure to be at least one that fits your interests and time.
We need volunteers to help with lit drops, phone calls, letter writing campaigns, lawn signs (posting on your yard or delivering to others), hosting of neighborhood "meet the candidates" coffees or yard parties, and, of course, financial contributions. Fill out the contact form below and let us know you'd like to help. Financial contributions are always welcome and will help to elect our candidates! |
